Wireless Communication for Basic Stamps

wireless_basic_stamps

Like many intelligent things, Basic Stamps like to talk to their friends. Ken wanted his to be able to communicate wirelessly over long distances.  He connected them using some Tigertronics radio modems along with a couple of handheld radio transceivers to send signals over 3 miles. There is discussion in the thread for using other setups such as FRS or ZigBee (Xbee modules use the ZigBee protocol).
