There was a post today over at Random Good Stuff today about buying a bat box to attract bats that in turn eat the bugs. I thought that is crazy! I can build that thing! A quick search found some plans for DIY bat boxes and ways to attract them, as well as what not to do.
I also found plans Bat Detector. Tony designed this detector which can be built for around $25 using readily available parts. It has been used all over the world and many users sent in pictures of their builds.

Most of us have seen pictures of golf carts that have been “lifted”. That is not enough for people like BestGuyEver. Instead, he started with a golf cart frame and strapped on a Suzuki GSX-R 1000 motor. Most of the build can be seen in his build thread over at the Buggies Unlimited forums.

Orengold wanted to add a GPS system to his 2003 IS300 but didn’t want to shell out over a thousand dollars. After hearing about his friend’s in-car computer experience, he decided to build his own. He obtained the housing for the in-dash navigation and put the touchscreen LCD monitor in there. The rest of the goodies live in the glove compartment.
If you find it interesting, check out the projects area on MP3car website.
